consultation

All projects begin with an on-site consultation. Virtual consults are an option for long distances.

  • The Initial Consultation is a 1-hour introductory meeting to discuss your overall landscape goals and identify any challenges and opportunities within your landscape.
  • Recommendations may include design concepts, resources, plant types, best management practices, and a strategic action plan to meet your goals.
  • Includes an email summary that is tailored to your needs, such as:

             - An informal, preliminary diagram

             - A Personal Plant Palette

             - Meeting notes

  • Extended consultations are available to cover extra on-site time, an extensive summary, a more detailed diagram, or additional on-site meetings with your contractor.  Additional fees apply.
  • See Service Areas and Payment Details at the bottom of this page for more information.

A Gardenflow Consultation can address a variety of topics:

New Landscapes and Structural Updates

New Landscapes and Structural Updates

New Landscapes and Structural Updates

For landscapes requiring entirely new functional spaces, we'll focus on layout options and hardscape elements and explore ways that you'd like to use your outdoor living areas.

Recommendations will be given

to kick-start design solutions that build structure,

organize and transform space, and create unity and flow throughout the landscape.

Mature Landscapes

New Landscapes and Structural Updates

New Landscapes and Structural Updates

For existing landscapes that only need plant updates, we'll focus on how to help revive a tired, outdated landscape.

We'll discuss plant details and functional elements.  Recommendations will be given on how to update overall aesthetics, improve your garden's health, and reduce maintenance.

Site Evaluation

New Landscapes and Structural Updates

Customized Plant Palette

Existing site conditions such as water patterns, light exposure, soil type, microclimates, established plants, slopes, utilities, and community requirements will be evaluated.

This info helps to create a foundational  design that aligns both with nature and your community.

Customized Plant Palette

Creative Garden Management and Lower Water Usage

Customized Plant Palette

Recommendations are offered for plants that serve practical purposes such as erosion control and privacy, and for plants that naturally thrive in their location, add seasonal interest, attract wildlife, and are low maintenance. A unique Palette will be created and shared through a digital link that offers plant photos and information.

Creative Garden Management and Lower Water Usage

Creative Garden Management and Lower Water Usage

Creative Garden Management and Lower Water Usage

With outdated habits, we overwater excessive lawns, apply needless amounts of chemicals, create air and noise pollution, and stuff black plastic bags with green waste for our landfills.
Discover how adopting "creative management" techniques will protect our environment,

and save time, money, and water.

design

To further refine your vision, a Design illustrates more comprehensive details.

A Design is a valuable planning and communication tool that helps avoid costly mistakes, saving you time and money in the future.

A well-planned and executed landscape will:

- increase a property’s value and outdoor living potential

- naturally thrive with less maintenance and less water

- and become more valuable with age

  • See Service Areas and Payment Details at the bottom of this page for more information.
  • Adding a Design to your Consultation is optional. The two available options are a 3D Design and a Localscape Plan (2D):

Landscape 3D Design

  • A digitally rendered, scaled concept design that illustrates a clear picture of the design intent.
  • Includes a draft design, Design-Review Zoom Meeting, a set of revisions, and an emailed Final Design Bundle in PDF format.
  • Final design illustrates the locations of the proposed hardscapes, primary features, and types of plants, as well as realistic images to enhance visualization.
  • Provides a detailed concept for estimating costs, unifying everyone towards a shared vision, HOA approvals and landscape rebate programs.

'Localscape Plan' Design

  • A digitally rendered, basic concept plan that illustrates a general picture of the design intent.
  • Typically overlaid on a satellite image or plot map
  • Includes a draft plan, design review by Zoom or phone, a set of revisions, and an emailed Final Design Plan in PDF format.
  • Final Plan illustrates general locations of proposed hardscapes, primary features, and basic plant categories.
  • Provides a basic concept for estimates, a shared vision, HOA approvals, and rebate program submissions.

* All drawings are conceptual; final site implementation will vary.

Elements depicted are artistic representations, not engineered blueprints.
