consultation

All projects begin with an on-site consultation, or a virtual consultation for long distance clients

  • During this introductory meeting we'll have an in-depth discussion of your overall landscape goals and identify any challenges and opportunities that may exist within your landscape.
  • Recommendations will be given based on the needs of your project and may include design concepts, resources, plant types, best management practices, and strategies to help you move forward with your project.
  • A Consultation Summary is included and may consist of:

                  - an informal diagram illustrating a rough design concept

                  - a Personal Plant Palette,

                  - notes documenting discussion details.

  • The Initial Consultation is for 1 hour. Extended or multiple consultations are available for an additional fee.  This may include extended on-site time, an extensive summary, a detailed diagram, or additional on-site meetings with your contractor.

Transform Your Yard with a Gardenflow consultation!

New Landscapes and Structural Updates

New Landscapes and Structural Updates

New Landscapes and Structural Updates

For landscapes requiring entirely new functional spaces, we'll focus on layout options and hardscape elements.  We'll walk the landscape

and explore ways that you'd like to use your outdoor living areas.

Recommendations will be given

to kick-start design solutions that build structure,

organize and transform space, and create unity and flow throughout the landscape.

Mature Landscapes

New Landscapes and Structural Updates

New Landscapes and Structural Updates

For existing landscapes that only need plant updates, we'll focus on the

horticultural elements of your yard.

As we walk the landscape, we'll discuss which plants may stay or go, how to improve your garden's health, and how to reduce maintenance.  Recommendations will be given to help you revive a tired, outdated landscape.

Site Evaluation

New Landscapes and Structural Updates

Customized Plant Palette

Existing site conditions such as water patterns, light exposure, soil type, microclimates, established plants, slopes, utilities, and community requirements will be evaluated.

This info is then used to create a foundational  design that aligns both with nature and your community.

Customized Plant Palette

Customized Plant Palette

Customized Plant Palette

An introductory Plant Palette will be introduced. We'll identify plants that serve practical purposes such as erosion control and privacy. Recommendations will be given for plants that

naturally thrive in their location,

add seasonal interest, attract wildlife,

and have little need for maintenance.

A personal link to your online Plant Palette will be emailed to you.

Plant details are covered further in

the design process.

Creative Management Tips

Creative Management Tips

Plants and nature are good for our health.  Yet many of our current maintenance habits are harmful to us and the environment. We overwater excessive lawns, apply needless amounts of chemicals, create air and noise pollution, and stuff black plastic bags with green waste
for our landfills.
Discover how adopting "creative management" habits will save time and money, and have a positive effect on your plants, the environment, and your family’s health.

design

To further define your landscape vision, a Design will illustrate the conceptual ideas in detail.

A well-planned and executed landscape will increase a property’s value and outdoor living potential, naturally thrive with less maintenance, and become more valuable with age.

A designed plan is a valuable communication tool that will help avoid costly mistakes and save you time and money in the future.

  • Adding a Design to your consultation is an option when more attention to details is preferred.
  • See Service Areas and Payment Details at the bottom of this page for more information.

Landscape Design

  • Provides information for estimating installation costs, guiding the installation process, and submission for HOA approvals and landscape rebate programs.
  • The final plan includes a Hardscape Layout Plan, Plant Concept Diagram, and 3D perspective images that will be emailed to you in PDF format.

'Localscape Plan' Design

  • The Localscape Plan is a computer drawn, rough-scaled plan that illustrates a clear picture of the design intent.
  • Plan may be overlaid on a satellite image or plat map copy of your property.
  • Plan illustrates basic locations of proposed hardscapes, primary features, and basic plant categories.
  • Includes a Design Review phone call or virtual zoom meeting if desired.
  • 3D perspectives and a virtual walk-through are not included.
